UBS named key factors that will affect the development of the US stock market

UBS warned that the next two weeks could determine the further trajectory of the U.S. stock market this summer season. The main factors that will influence it will be inflation statistics in April and Nvidia's report on chip manufacturing revenue, Business Insider writes.

In case consumer price data and Nvidia's financial results disappoint the market, it could trigger a crisis as early as early summer. Good statistics on inflation, stable retail sales figures and better-than-expected financial results of Nvidia could create a favorable background for growth and push the S&P 500 index to soar to new record highs, the publication notes.

In another scenario, some data could be disappointing and others optimistic. In such a case, the stock market will be limited to a certain range for several months, as trading traditionally slows down during the summer period.
